Preschool Activities---Shaving Cream

Grab a can of shaving cream, find a smooth clean surface, and get ready to have some fun!

Go ahead. Squirt a small pile on the table or on a large cookie sheet. Let your child or student rub it all over the surface with their hands. Then let the creativity begin!

This week I had a few of my neighbor kids over to demonstrate shaving cream activities that I use in preschool. My teens joined in because they remembered using shaving cream to help them study spelling words, learn how to write their name, practice writing their phone number and address, memorizing math facts, and sometimes just to play.
A small pile of shaving cream will last at least 15 minutes on the table with any age of kid. (adults love to do this too!)
Add some washable toys and plastic kitchen utensils and the kids will make all kinds of prints, designs and 3-D sculptures!
Clean up is a snap! Scrape off excess shaving cream and then wipe the surface with a damp towel.
Kids are easy to clean---send them to the sink to rinse! Shaving cream is like moisturizing soap and it smells good!
The next time you find yourself with a child with "nothing to do" or school work that is "boring"... grab a can of shaving cream and have some fun!
